Food Lion Grand Opening!

After several long years without having a grocery store on the North Point Peninsula, the much anticipated Grand Opening of the Edgemere Food Lion took place on Wednesday morning, November 20th, 2002, just before 8 am.

Attended by many local politicians and Food Lion corporate representatives, the ceremony attracted a sizable crowd of local residents and future patrons.

This event was the culmination of many years of effort on the part of the North Point Community Coordinating Council and it's President, Harry Wujek.
