Edgemere Senior Center History

The Edgemere Senior Center and Waterfront Park was officially opened during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday June 9, 1999 at 6600 North Point Road.

The 6,000-square-foot facility consists of six rooms used for recreational, educational and social activities, as well as administrative offices.  The cost of construction for the center was $1.6 million.  It replaced the previous center, at the old Edgemere Elementary School, which had been demolished.

The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks also operate a small waterfront park at the site, complete with a fishing/boating pier and mini-pavilion.
